Happy New Year ( What I Want To Get Rid Of And What I Want To Introduce Into My Life) 2017

Hello, Ladies and Gentlemen,  I don't count on New Years Resolutions to bring changes into my life but I have been thinking about some of the things that I would like to get rid of.  2016 was a tough year for a lot of us and it brought forth some serious changes and eye-openers concerning our everyday life.  Below you will see some of the things that I am going to get rid of and the positive things that I want in my life.

What I Want To Get Rid Of
  1. Stagnation.  I want to concentrate on my dreams so I can see growth in all my endeavors.
  2. People in my life who really don't care about me and only in my life, to suck the life out of me. I am tired of spending my time with people who are not on the same path to betterment like I am and not happy regarding my well being.
  3. Liars.  I do not want anyone lying to me because it is negative energy.  Besides, you will forget the lie that you told and make a fool out of yourself.
  4. I want to get rid of a lot of old things that I have carried into the new year and get some nice, new things.
  5. Fear.  I would like to get rid of my fear that I have for the future and really celebrate today. Would love to travel this year.

What I Would Like To Introduce Into My Life

  1. I would like to try out some new recipes that are healthier this year.  I will be searching YouTube videos to accomplish this.
  2. More people who are of the same faith, I am.  This is very important to surround yourself with like-minded people because it will help strengthen your faith.
  3. Get to know some family members that I haven't been around.  Families are getting smaller due to death and I think that it is time to really get to know my family.
  4. I want to put more effort into my blogs because I really enjoy writing and it is a passion of mines that is pushing me to find more content that you all would like to read.  This is my hobby and I want it to move in the direction of a small business.
  5. I want to learn more about hair care and skin and nails this year.  Interested in learning how to do hair weaves and ways of taking care of my skin and how to grow my own nails to longer lengths.  Also, want to learn how to use all that makeup that I have.
There are a lot of other things that I would like to accomplish this year as it will be a time when I will be working on myself and making improvements.

I pray that this new year will bring you much happiness, love, and prosperity.

How To Encourage Yourself.

When you are going through things in life it is hard to break out of a rut or depression.  We wait for other people to lend an ear and to give us words that will give us hope in our situation.  At times we may not be in the place where we can receive advice from someone because they may not understand your situation,  Most times you cannot speak on things that you do not understand.

We used to think that talking to yourself was crazy but at times it is needed.  You can tell yourself that you can make it.  Encouraging yourself to move on can be done.  Reach for the sky when other people makes you think that you are wasting your time.  Don't let anyone put their negative perception into your spirit because it is their hangup and belief that they couldn't achieve some of the things that you did.

Working through things in life sometimes have to be done in silence apart from the world as some people are not going to pat you on your back or give you a much-needed hug.  Stick to the things that you promised yourself and keep talking to yourself and praising yourself for the good work that you already did.  "Talking To Yourself Is Fine If It Makes You Feel Much Better." Great words from Earth Wind And Fire.

How To Live A Peaceful Life

How To Live A Peaceful Life:

  1.  Do not make or stay friends with people who are negative because their spirit will rub off on you.
  2. Surround yourself with people who are of the same peaceful temperament as yourself.
  3. Diffuse arguments quickly in your home and take a time-out.
  4. Live the type of lifestyle in front of your children that you would like for them to become.
  5. Listen to good music that makes you happy and brings back good memories only.
  6. Give to the needy because this brings joy to your spirit.
  7. Bring plants and animals into your life because it brings love into your world.
  8. Pray to God because prayer changes things.
  9. Learn how to save money because debt does not equal living in peace.
  10. Share knowledge with others because knowledge is power.

Is Social Media making you antisocial?

I have been involved in Social Media for some time now and I am noticing that it is so easy to email, text or chat online, that my social interactions with other people are diminishing.  The fact that you do not have to leave your house to have communications with anyone is ideal but is it healthy?  We are becoming a society that is drifting further apart and a lot of us don't really see or understand what is happening.

Honestly, I really have to make myself go out to see people that I love because I have become complacent with my interactions.  All day, most of us are looking at the phone screen, computer screen or on gaming systems. We don't realize that we are being programmed.

I love Social Media but I feel that I need to step away from it to gain my life back and a healthy well-being. We need each other.  Families need to be close and share life without the phone and etc.

Computers and phones are a blessing but do not let it become a curse.

Finding Your Happy Sweet Spot In Your Life.

I decided to touch on this subject because I had a conversation with my daughter a few months ago and she asked me " What age were you the happiest?".   I told her that I was my happiest at age 40.  She looked very puzzled and she said " Why age Forty?".  Carefully I explained to her that it was the age that I started to fully embrace myself.  I had raised her into adulthood and it was the time that I could truly live my life and do the things that I wanted to do.

It was a time that I was no longer responsible for another person.  When you are forty you have gone through the times in your life when you were totally insecure with yourself due to weight gain or maybe other flaws that you have.   Forty is the age that you can look back and perhaps see the mistakes that you have made and truly thank God for his protection and seeing how you made it through.  You see, life is not perfect or easy but the way you deal with things makes all the difference.

My twenties was not easy at all and you would think that being young would present me with more opportunities and happy experiences.   The road to my forties gave me a chance for forgiveness, and it gave me the wisdom to speak to another young person and tell them that if you persevere, you will be alright.

I am so much calmer now and when things go wrong I know that there will be a way of escape and know to pray for God's guidance.

Through hard times, The Lord showed me how to be resourceful and now I count it as the many gifts that I have.  Happiness starts with self acceptance.  We have all seen the person who the world may see as unattractive but this person thinks they are the most beautiful person in the world and it seems to draw people and make other people think this person is beautiful too.  Deep down this person may know that they are unattractive but the positive image that they project is charismatic.   This shows that you can draw positive things into your life, if you just believe.

If you are young and short on money; buy yourself little small gifts that makes you happy and project a positive image to the world.  I promise that one day you will tell your own story of how you found your happiness in life.  Many years ago when I would be short on cash, I would go to a discount store and buy nail polish that cost $1.00 and keep my nails beautifully polished everyday.  This made me feel happy.  You can find beauty and solace in simplicity.

There is an old saying "Paint a picture of what you want to be."   Project happiness into the world and that is what you will get back.

My Grandson on his birthday and what he has taught me about life.

This is my Grandson on his birthday yesterday.

Hello Ladies and Gentlemen:  This is my Grandson enjoying his birthday with a big slice of cake.  When I found out that my daughter was pregnant with him, i was overjoyed.  At the time i was so sick and i didn't think that i had much time on this earth.

The announcement that i was going to be a Grandmother was music to my ears.  It represented hope, newness, a new beginning and a beautiful baby to hold and to nurture.  I had something to look forward to.

I was excited when my daughters stomach was growing and i knew that the time was near.  Some people asked me what my Grandchild would call me and i said Grandma or Granny.  They said " that sounds too old.  You should ask him to call you Nana or some other name"  I told them that i didn't care how old it sounds, Grandma represents a blessing to me.

I will never forget seeing Jamie Fox cry about his Granny when she passed away and i thought to myself, she must have been an amazing woman.

My Grandchild taught me to be stronger and that life doesn't always stay the same.  He taught me that if you you hold on, a change will come.  He taught me how to love unconditionally.

Remembering how it felt to see this little Man born and i was the second person to hold him after he came into the world makes me teary eyed.  He say's so many funny things and he is such a joy to have.

Yesterday, i had a conversation with someone and they were talking about their grandchildren and we both agreed that it seems like these children have always been with us.  God gave us these children who will extend our family tree for generations to come.

My Grandson is turning into a great young Man and i pray that when Grandma is gone, he will remember all the things that we have done and the happy times that the Lord allowed us to experience.

Happy Birthday little one and never forget; your Granny loves you.
