What are you all doing for Memorial Day?

Hello, Ladies and Gentlemen.  I am coming in to see what you all are doing for Memorial Day.  Recently, I had a conversation with someone regarding cook-outs.  I discussed the fact that you do not see many cook-outs due to problems with crime.  Many days I miss when our parents and aunts and uncles would have a cook-out and they would have plenty of food and delicious desserts.

Crime is rampant and many people have opted out of cook-outs in my area because of fights breaking out and murders.  I would love to go back to the peaceful days of getting together with family to celebrate.  I have many memories of the homemade ice cream that was made just for the occasion.

Going shopping is on the agenda for me and my family.  I will be catching those sales and then back home to relax.

I wish you a happy and safe Memorial Day and can you leave down in the comment section about the things you will be doing and you can also include a past memory?

I Miss You So Much (Forever Young)

Hello, Ladies and Gentlemen.

Today, was a very hard day after losing a loved one.  I just want to express the importance of spending as much time with loved ones because you never know when it will be your last.

I vividly remember my nephew being born, he was a nice, healthy, beautiful baby with the thickest, blackest, curls on his head.  My heart melted when I first saw his little face and he and me were close.  He always had the biggest smile on his face that would make my day on even the saddest times in my life.

I would watch him play and he had the cutest little giggle and until he left us, he still had that boyish quality.  We noticed when he was a baby in his car seat, that he would sing when the car radio was on and my mom specifically said that he had a voice and would be a singer. Fast forward into his teen years he could be seen singing at many events and he loved to act also.   He accomplished many things in his short life and we lost him doing the thing that he loved
( singing praises to the most high).  I am sad knowing that I will not see him again but I know that he will personally be singing to our Father in heaven, just like he did on earth.

I want to ask you all to not take anyone for granted because time is not on your side.  Spend as much time and take many pictures of your family so you can remember all of the good times. God only lend our family members to us for a short time.  We are not promised tomorrow. As we look over his life we will think of all the joy he has brought to our family.  Rest in peace nephew and when it is my time to cross over, I hope you are the first one that I see at the gate.

HOW TO LIVE, LOVE AND ENJOY LIFE. (WHAT IS REALLY IMPORTANT IN LIFE?)

I am going a little off topic which I will do from time to time.  I have been in deep thought today.  The question is What Is Really Important In Life?  After losing family members over the years I have thought about all the good times we shared.  The family dinners where the family came from all over and we just sat, ate, laughed, and enjoyed each other.

The memory of my Elderly Aunt dancing and we all laughed till our belly's hurt.   These times were very important for the children of that time because it taught us the real meaning of life.  To think of all the people we have lost is painful to even think about at times.

Flower, Rose, Romance, Nature, Love

The real meaning of life to me is living comfortable and that means finding joy in spending time with my Daughter and Grandson and enjoying natures beauty, taking in the sights of the city, writing, and self-expression.  Family's are not as close as they used to be, so we have to create beautiful memories for our children so they can share the amazing stories with their own children.

My Daughter and I look at old photo's and laugh at the old fashions we used to wear years ago.  She was into The Spice Girls and Brittany Spears, so we chuckle at the pictures of her wearing fashions from that time period and we laugh at my old hairstyles.

Finding what is important in life includes: Sharing yourself, sharing knowledge, being thankful for what you have and embracing yourself and others.  That means being loving and forgiving.

The older I get, material things are not as important as they used to be.  So, what is important is that I share in the human experience and I am enjoying sisterhood and learning from other Ladies.

I am an introvert so it is not always easy to find friends but I am learning that you need others to share the experience of life.  As we age, we will lose more and more friends and love ones, so it is very important to find new friendships and nurture old ones.

I have never shared so much of myself as I have in the last three years since I have been Vlogging and Blogging and I am so happy that I did because it is like a Diary that my family can see and remember this time when I fully stepped out my box.  When my life is over, they will look back at my body of work, my art form and they will smile and remember that I was the happiest I have ever been in my life.

The most important thing in life is not money.  It is being happy in your own skin.   I would like to know what is really important in life for you.  Let me know in the comment section.

Thank you for caring and embracing me and allowing me to be myself (SashaMoniqueTalks).
