DOES INEXPENSIVE CLOTHING HAVE TO LOOK SO CHEAP?

DOES INEXPENSIVE CLOTHING HAVE TO LOOK SO CHEAP?

This is a question that I think about sometimes.  I am a savings queen and I can make a dollar go a long way.  As I go to some local stores and just browse around to see the latest fashions, I just think to myself  ( this stuff looks tooooooo cheap).

We have already established the fact that I like clothing that cost little money, but what I cannot stand is an outfit that looks like it is disposable.  I have a few articles of clothing that I have had for about ten years and I remember paying three dollars for it and it is staple pieces that I can wear on its own but also under sweaters and jackets.

I have found some stores that I like to go to that have clothing that will last and you will still find the latest fashion.

  • Burlington Coat Factory
  • Macys ( Clearance Rack)
  • Sears
  • Charlotte Russe
  • Rue 21
  • Ebay
  • Marshalls
  • Dress Barn ( Clearance Rack)
  • TJ Maxx
  • Nordstrom Rack

These are some nice stores to go to and find a large array of clothing that will fit properly and look so stylish and fresh

HOW TO PICK THE PERFECT PERFUME SCENT

Picking The Perfect Perfume For You

Have you ever walked past a lady and she left a nice, clean refreshing aroma when she walked past?
I have and I always wonder what kind of Perfume it is that she is wearing.  I don't mean an overly Perfumed smell that reeks.  I mean the kind of smell that mesh well with the ladies body chemistry and even at the end of the day, she smells good.

I find that a lot of ladies, me included, thought that we could just buy any perfume and it would smell good on us and that is not true.   You have to take a careful approach to finding your signature Perfume.

What you can do is go to a major department store and try the samples that they have and see how that scent smells throughout the day and ask someone that you trust, whether that scent still smells good or not.  If you do this, you can be assured that you have found the perfect match.

You can also try the samples in your magazine and you can get an idea of what you should buy.

* If you have a strong body smell, it might be wise to not wear Perfume because if you sweat too much, it could make the Perfume smell bad.

Also: do not buy inexpensive Perfume because it does not smell good at the end of the day.
It is best to just apply your perfume in back of your ears and in the crease of your arm.

If someone wants to buy you some Perfume for a gift; let them know what kind you like to use and this way, you will not be left with a product that you will never use.

YOU LOST YOUR JOB, NOW WHAT?

                                               NO IT ISN'T THE END

You probably went into work today and you were presented with the news that you have been fired or laid off.  The first thought is usually, "What Am I Going To Do".  I have been in this position and it is not a great place to be.

This is a good time to access your savings to see if you can carry yourself a little while with your savings.

Apply for Unemployment and if you are not eligible, there are some steps you can take to hold your head above water.

Look online and look for Social Services located in your State and start making phone calls, to see what is available to you.  You must make sure that you have all your identification and Birth Certificate and Marriage or Divorce Decree.

If you are in danger of losing your apartment or home, check and see if there is anything available that will allow you to stay in your home.  If not, go to the website HUD which is called Housing Urban Development and put in information regarding your City and State, to see if there are any subsidized apartments available.

Housing Urban Development has very long waiting list, but, if you can get on the waiting list, then you should do so.

Do not be ashamed to get help.  You have paid into the system and you shouldn't be embarrassed to ask for help.

If you are definitely losing your Apartment; start packing and see whether the State will help you with putting your things into storage.

If you are low on food, look into getting Food Stamps or start calling some Food Pantries to see what the requirements are, so you can get some food for you and your family.

When you are around the house, do not wear any of your job related clothing and this way you can save on wear and tear and you will be able to save this clothing for when you start back to work.

Go to the thrift stores or rummage sales to look for good clothing that you can wear to work and start looking for another job.  If you are having trouble getting another job, go to, the unemployment office and sign up for job service to get help.

There are also some churches and organizations that give clothing away to the poor for free.

Try to stay as positive as you can during this time.  I know that it is hard but things are going to get better, it will take a little time but do not give up hope.

If you do not go to a church, this may be a good time to start because you may be able to find out about jobs from other church members.

ORGANIZATIONS THAT MAY HELP YOU

  1. Salvation Army
  2. Catholic Charities
  3. Church Organizations
  4. Goodwill Industries
  5. American Red Cross
  6. Net Wish
  7. United Way
  8. YMCA
  9. YWCA
  10. National Coalition For The Homeless
  11. 1800-Charity Cars
  12. Local Catholic Churches

Make sure you look online and find out where the local office is in your state and what the requirements are.

You are going to recover and find a job and please do not give up.

HOW TO LIVE, LOVE AND ENJOY LIFE. (WHAT IS REALLY IMPORTANT IN LIFE?)

I am going a little off topic which I will do from time to time.  I have been in deep thought today.  The question is What Is Really Important In Life?  After losing family members over the years I have thought about all the good times we shared.  The family dinners where the family came from all over and we just sat, ate, laughed, and enjoyed each other.

The memory of my Elderly Aunt dancing and we all laughed till our belly's hurt.   These times were very important for the children of that time because it taught us the real meaning of life.  To think of all the people we have lost is painful to even think about at times.

Flower, Rose, Romance, Nature, Love

The real meaning of life to me is living comfortable and that means finding joy in spending time with my Daughter and Grandson and enjoying natures beauty, taking in the sights of the city, writing, and self-expression.  Family's are not as close as they used to be, so we have to create beautiful memories for our children so they can share the amazing stories with their own children.

My Daughter and I look at old photo's and laugh at the old fashions we used to wear years ago.  She was into The Spice Girls and Brittany Spears, so we chuckle at the pictures of her wearing fashions from that time period and we laugh at my old hairstyles.

Finding what is important in life includes: Sharing yourself, sharing knowledge, being thankful for what you have and embracing yourself and others.  That means being loving and forgiving.

The older I get, material things are not as important as they used to be.  So, what is important is that I share in the human experience and I am enjoying sisterhood and learning from other Ladies.

I am an introvert so it is not always easy to find friends but I am learning that you need others to share the experience of life.  As we age, we will lose more and more friends and love ones, so it is very important to find new friendships and nurture old ones.

I have never shared so much of myself as I have in the last three years since I have been Vlogging and Blogging and I am so happy that I did because it is like a Diary that my family can see and remember this time when I fully stepped out my box.  When my life is over, they will look back at my body of work, my art form and they will smile and remember that I was the happiest I have ever been in my life.

The most important thing in life is not money.  It is being happy in your own skin.   I would like to know what is really important in life for you.  Let me know in the comment section.

Thank you for caring and embracing me and allowing me to be myself (SashaMoniqueTalks).
