Having Faith In The Future By Listening To Our Elders.

Having Faith In The Future By Listening To Our Elders.

I spent some time with my mom this weekend and I learned so much from her regarding the past.  She recited stories about her life and I wondered " Could I have been so strong and survived." She talked about hard times that people of my generation haven't endured. Back then people had to do really hard labor to feed and take care of their families.  They dealt with extreme racism and they had to use bathrooms for colored people.  These people had so much against them but they fought hard to survive.

A lot of the things that we complain about don't match any of the trials and tribulations that they had to endure.  What they had in their favor were  family and neighbors who cared and was willing to lend a hand.  Fighting, fussing and picking each other apart is never going to help us progress in our ever changing world.

We need God and we need each other.  That is the key and the glue that will help our future generation to move forward.  When we act negatively with our brother, sister or fellow man we create dissension and we move forward to destroying ourselves.

Next time you hear elderly people talk about the past, just listen and realize if they could make it in this world of uncertainty, you can also but you cannot make it alone.

Change your thinking and mindset and create the world that you want to live in.  Peace dwells in all of us.  Working together is the answer and love each other because God loves you and he will bless you for what is in your heart.

How To Save Energy In The Summer

How To Save Energy In The Summer:

The first thing you want to get is an energy efficient air conditioner because some of the older models are outdated and burn a lot of energy.  You will see a big difference in your electric bill and you will save a lot of money.

Keep your shades and curtains closed during the day while you are at work and this will keep your house cooler.

Tell your children to keep lights on in only one section of your house or apartment and tell them to only stay in that part of the house.

Unplug all non-essential things to save money, such as; microwave oven because if you are not using it most of the day, this will save you some money in the long run.

Do not use your Oven in the summer because it will overheat your house. Use a Crock pot instead.

Use energy saving light bulbs all over your house.  This really helps you to save year round.

Use your air conditioner in the daytime and use fans at night unless it is extremely hot and you will save money.

Buy and use portable drying racks to dry your clothing because the dryer will heat up your house.

Take short showers at night to save energy.

The Male Gold Digger How To Spot Him And What He Is After

Hello Ladies:  We all have heard the term " Gold Digger."  This word conjures up the images of a beautiful lady who uses rich men for their money and she usually like the finer things in life but likes to use men to establish the lifestyle that she wishes for herself.  She doesn't have any real feelings for these men, it is strictly business only.

I would like to take time now to explain and show you who the male gold digger is.  The male gold digger is usually an attractive man or if he isn't, he has a lot of charisma and if you do not watch yourself, you will fall insanely in love with him.

The Charmer:

This man likes the finer things in life and he will tell you everything that you want to hear.  He will tell you how beautiful and wonderful you are and even when you are not looking your best, he will make you feel like the most beautiful woman in the world.  He will rub your tired feet after a long day at work and run your bath water and then make dinner reservations and when the check comes he makes you pay for it.

The Lover:

He usually is very good in the bedroom and he uses this as a tool to control your mind.  The times that you would like to say no to his outlandish spending habits, he will head to the bedroom and get you to change your mind.  Before you know it, you will be paying for his expensive phone, he will use your credit cards and purchase things without your knowledge.

The Snake:

When he first meets you, he will find out what kind of work you do.  He will try to find out whether you live alone or not.  Sometimes he will search for information about you before you even meet so that he will be sure about your financial status.  When he takes you out on your first date, he will pay for everything with funds from another woman he is scamming.  Before you know it, he has slithered himself into your life.

The Slacker:

After he gains your confidence, he will sit around the house and play computer games all day or sleep the day away till you come home from work.  He will tell you that he will find a job but he has no intentions of working except working on your pocket.

The Thief:

He will get you to buy him a car and fancy jewelry and the latest shoes, and sneakers or if he is living alone, he pushes you to sign a lease on an expensive apartment or home.  Since you love him, nothing is off limits till you get tired of his foolishness and by that time, you are out a lot of money.

The Deceiver:

A lot of times he will not let you meet his family.  He will tell you that they are against him and he will also change the subject if you ask about his family.  He will not let you meet his friends because he doesn't want you to talk to them and find out what horrible person that he is.

The Player:

You are usually not the only lady that he is seeing.  He will date other wealthy woman to keep the revenue pouring in.  If he has children and owes child support, he will have you paying his support payments.

Ladies:  This is my list on how to spot a gold digger and if you see any of these signs run.  Resist and you will save yourself pain and suffering.
