How to move forward after a tough week (Blogging)

How to move forward after a tough week (Blogging)

I am not going to lie to you all, I have had a rough week-and-a-half.  I had issues with my health and I was definitely in a space where I felt like I could not get those creative juices flowing.

Really, I felt like giving up, because everything was closing in on me.  Many things were time-sensitive so I tried to push through but it was so hard.

I tried to smile and get through this difficult time and the only way I could move on was to put away small amounts of my time to cater to my blog.

I would write a few paragraphs and then come back to it later.  It was the best method that I could find to get things done.

Scheduling your blog post is the best thing you can do when you are struggling with writer's block or things that happen beyond your control.

I had surgery this week so scheduling was my saving grace.

Keeping a journal is a great way of putting things into perspective when blogging.  Putting all your thoughts down can help you get your creative juices flowing in the right direction.

Read your own previous blog post to expound on subjects that you have previously blogged about and add a new twist to it.

Blogging is therapeutic so it is something that I can always find joy and even if I have to let it go for a day or so, I will always come back to it because it is a love of mines.

Taking time to read other blogs or other media is very helpful to take a break and it gives you new subjects to explore.

You've had a rough week but don't beat yourself up.  "Blogging" is a lot of fun but it does take a lot of your time.  Take some time to do some things that you want to do and take needed breaks and when you come back, bring a new fresh perspective on your work.

Facebook Blogging groups are great for meeting like-minded people who love to talk about blogging and give you an outlet to share your love of writing.

Water Is life- sustaining!

Water is life-sustaining!

We all use water whether it is bottled water or water that readily runs from our faucet.  Water is used to tidy up our homes, water our plants, wash our cars, and to keep our bodies clean.

A lot of times we take having water for granted.  I learned so much about appreciating water when the Hurricanes occurred last year.  There were definitely shortages and it really made me think of what I would do if I didn't have water to replenish my body.

Many times we get caught up in brands of bottled water.  Are we really sure where this water is coming from?  I drink bottled water too but water coming from the faucet is definitely not beneath me.  If you are concerned about the water in your area, please contact your local water company.

All life forms depend on water for their very survival.  There are no animals or fish without water.  We must learn how to protect our waterways and learn to respect water because it is important for survival.

The weather forecast has predicted some storms this year and it would be a good idea for us all to prepare now by filling some jugs of water to keep on hand just in case we are affected.  Because you never know where it will hit this year.

Even if you do not drink the water, you will be able to flush your toilet with it and wash up with it. You can also share with a sick or elderly neighbor.

A friend of mines told me to drink a glass of water as soon as I wake up in the Morning to replenish and to keep my body more PH balanced. I tried it and it made me feel so much better.

Water is also good to drink if you are experiencing problems with your skin. It will help to keep your skin clear.

Give your kids water bottles when you take them out for the day so they don't ask for soda or juice.  If you make it a habit they will learn to drink more water.

Make sure to check your pet's water bowl to make sure that water is always on hand for your pet.

If you see someone polluting our water source, please report it to the authorities.

Get a Brita filter pitcher to use the free water that we were blessed with.

Treat water like a precious jewel because it is.  Respect the Earth and you will be rewarded with clean water and fresh air.

Sticking to a budget can save your finances.

America is a nation of spenders and many of us have been taught that it is okay to survive paycheck to paycheck.  This mindset is totally unhealthy because it puts you in a position of stagnation and poverty.

Many people are poverty stricken and you would never know that they are because they dress very well and drive the best cars.

They do not turn down any invitations to social events and trips that they very well know that they cannot afford.

People like this will never admit to you and others that they are broke so they just pile debt on top of debt.

Some broke people even scoff at other broke people because they look broke and they are not trying to "keep up with the Joneses."

I find that most people living in poverty or have a poverty mindset think they are entitled to live a certain way, they buy the most expensive things and they never try to save money.

How many much more clothes do you need if you have a lot of clothes laying around and you are not wearing them?  You have one hundred pairs of shoes but you are constantly buying new shoes, that equates having a spending problem.  Every year you keep buying the same things over and over when that extra money could be used to pay down your debt.

We want more and more but instead of trying to bring in more money we take that credit card and add on more worry and aggravation to your life.

Below, is a lady that I just started to check out her videos and she will show you how to budget.  Check out her videos to learn how to accomplish your goal of getting out of debt.

How to buy Electronics for cheap.

How to buy Electronics for cheap.

Stock Iphone Business Mobile Phone Communi

There are so many ways you can get cheap electronic products such as; phones, computers, cameras, and etc.  I purchase a lot of my computers refurbished and they work like a charm.

I have been purchasing refurbished products for over ten years and only two times I have been disappointed.  You can save so much money by buying this way because some of these products are floor models or they are returns that they restored to working order.

My laptop computer was purchased last year for a mere $100.00 with no sales tax or shipping and it was brought from eBay.  It looked completely new when I received it and has not given me any problems.

Lately, I have been looking into buying an Ipad and I saw one on Wish.com and they had one starting at $125.00 and I think this will be the next thing I will buy.  They even had iPhones for great prices that cannot be beaten.

A family member of mines said that she is afraid to buy refurbished products. The key is to only purchase from retailers that have a generous return policy just in case something does go wrong.

Some products even have a warranty that will cover you for a couple of years.  This a great way to get everything that you want but not pay top dollar for it.

Places that carry refurbished goods are......

  • eBay
  • Best Buy
  • Amazon
  • Overstock
  • Wish
  • Sears
  • Walmart
  • Newegg
  • Target
  • Staples

How to deal with a financial disaster.

How to deal with a financial disaster.

Today, you got your pink slip and told that your services are no longer needed.  You put your all into this position and this job was a blessing because you were out of work for two years.  So many things had to be put on the back burner because you had to travel an hour and a half to work because there were not positions located locally.

To start your job, you had to use your credit cards because you had to charge one thousand dollars to get your professional attire together to start this job, and you needed money to commute.  A lot of money was spent out before you started working and this created debt that you couldn't escape.

During your time of unemployment, you struggled with depression and no one knew what you were dealing with because you tried your best to not wear your problems on your sleeve. A lot of people thought you were doing well financially because you kept yourself well-groomed while going through the process of financial disaster.

You had contemplated suicide if things did not get any better.  The main thing that you didn't want, was your family to see you as a loser.

What I want you to know, many of us have dealt with financial ruin even me.
I had to leave an abusive relationship many years ago and I had student loan debt.  Yes, I was embarrassed because I felt like a failure, it was so hard to recover as I had a very small child.

Below, you will see my video regarding this.

It was a day-by-day struggle to make ends meet and yes, I dealt with depression, but as
I look back I can see that this struggle made me stronger because it gave me the tools that
I needed to make it through.

I am only telling you this because you lost your job which is a very serious thing but keep pressing on
because God will definitely make a way.  When you are dealing with financial issues, the only way is to go up and you have learned the lessons to keep you from experiencing this ever again.

There will be another job because you have the experience under your belt and hopefully you can find a way not to depend on credit cards because they are " the devil.'

Clue your family members about what you are going through financially, they may even be willing
to help you, if not financial, maybe lead you to a new job.

Stop being embarrassed about things that are beyond your control.

  • Take any help offered to you.  There are many agencies who are willing to help you, you just have to seek them out, some even provide services to help you get back to work.
  • Do not wear your clothes around the house that you use for work.  Wear Jeans or sweats and this will prevent you from wearing out or damaging your good clothes.
  • Go to the Library and read a lot of books regarding making an impressive resume or books that will teach you skills to make you more employable and attend free workshops.
  • Venture out of your area and out of your comfort zone because sometimes the people who you may think are at the lowest part of the totem pole will be the ones who can tell you where to get free training or free food.
  • Goodwill, Salvation Army, and The United Way are some places that you can call to see if they know or provide job training or job placement and if they don't they may know who you can call.
  • Pray and ask God to be your provider and he will.

I hope all these tips are helpful and if you know of any more tips that will be helpful to someone who is seeking a job, please feel free to leave them in the comment section.
